Can you get your money back when you send money to someone on paypal?

So my ex bf sent me 500€ for no reason but then he said he could get the money back from my account within 59 days. So I quickly got all my money off my paypal into my bank account (yea sorry I just hate him a lot). Does this still mean he can get it back? Or did he just lie or something?

Best Answer:

Firstname: He needs to show that the payment was in response to a fraud or made in error. If he can (and you get the opportunity to dispute it) PayPal will charge it to your account. Your PayPal account has an automatic method of charging your bank account or credit card and the money will be taken from there.

Under certain conditions he CAN get his money back. If there is no money in YOUR paypal account, they will send you a bill, and suspend you account until teh bill is paid.

If money is sent for a purchase, it can be disputed if the seller does not deliver.

But money sent as a gift (friends & family, donation, etc.) normally cannot be reversed, because for a gift, nothing is expected in return, so there is nothing to dispute.

He didn't lie, he can get it back. If it lacks money, then he can take even more. I suggest you don't touch the money for 70 days and see what happens.
Bob:
he lied
