How to survive for a month with almost no money?

So after I paid rent and all, there's not much left on my monthly (and last for this year) student loan. I now have 28 (canadian) dollars, and I must survive until the end of the month, when I will move out of the region to work there (which is why I can't find a job here). Nobody will lend me money

I now have 28 (canadian) dollars, and I must survive until the end of the month, when I will move out of the region to work there (which is why I can't find a job here). Nobody will lend me money anymore and I can't find a job if I'm to move out soon, so I really don't know what I should do.

Jean: I suggest you start with going through your belongings and see what you can sell?

Then draw up a strict list of food you can afford to eat – things like pasta, oats, potatoes are cheap and filling. So my food shopping list for the week would include large loaf of cheap sliced bread, tub of cheap margarine and some jam or similar – that takes care of your breakfasts. Packet of cheap porridge oats is also filling and cheap for breakfasts – so porridge breakfast, toast lunch some days. Pasta with a basic tomato sauce is filling – so an onion, few mushrooms, tin of tomato and other veg that are cheap to add makes a basic tomato sauce which is also healthy. A baked potato is also filling and cheap. use some of the margarine and then see what else you can buy cheap at the supermarket to add to it. Baked beans are good

I would also get to the supermarkets at closing time when they start to reduce food items and pick up items much cheaper. I wouldn't worry too much about a healthy diet for the next week weeks. You just need to eat enough and not be hungry.

Are there also places like food banks / churches offering support – if so, try them.

Waiting until you are completely out of money was a very poor decision because your option are pretty much dried up. Read your lease. If you can sublet, do it and go and live with family or a friend or someone who will take you in for a while, until you get a job and decent savings, and don't rent an apartment again that you cannot afford.

cut off the excesses first of al. cook at home, do not eat out. make your tea or coffee at home. refrigerate leftovers and eat them later. cut off friends who make you spend your money, stay away from clubs and unnecessary hangouts. cut down your phone bills, call only when necessary. learn to stay home and read a book. do not go window shopping. be disciplined and keep your eyes straight. pray to Jehovah

ive been dealing with this situation for the past 5 yrs, i cant find work either, and i cant get ssi, cant get welfare money cause im single, ive literally have had no regular money coming in for yrs, ive gone back to school for money, that way i can at least live on financial aid, the problem is im not always good with school stuff and im on academic probation for the second time, at least you'll have a job soon, ive thought of donating plasma too, some places will pay you for that. you could ask your friends for help, thats how ive been surviving, a friend helps me, i have hud and i get foodstamps and medicaid. not sure what to tell you but youre so lucky to get a job next month, wish i knew how to accomplish that
