If someone in America lost health insurance and before they got new one they got sick, are they left to die, or just make payments?

I have read stories of people losing insurance, doctors won't see you, by the time you find help it too late. Good, young people have died, and so many Americans just say they were lazy and poor. That's not true for all. Now Trumps new plan will allow pre existing condition patients to be denied or charged too much to afford. EXAMPLE below.state insurance and Medicare or Medicaid don't cover a lot. America is evil.
Emergency rooms treat you yes, BUT cancer doctors, physicians, surgeons, they will deny you if you don't fork up insurance or money. ACA needs fixing. But look how many have come forward saying they would've died Without it because they lacked insurance from pre existing condition.

no place on this planet can you go in and get to see a doctor there and then unless its an emergency, you get an appointment
– so your "backlog" = appointment

course they are selective. No health scheme on this planet will cover you for all possible illnesses in all possible situations.
So are ALL private insurance schemes unless you have a, AWFUL LOT of money, and if you got enough to pay for that its likely you wouldnt bother with insurance in the 1st place

" I have relatives there and they hate their free healthcare"
how the f//k can you "hate" something thats free? (actually it aint "free" but never mind)
you may prefer to have insurance and do it that way, but thats no reason to "hate" the free alternative
nobody forces you to take advantage of it – you just take out your own insurance (and get a shock when you find out how much thats gonna cost you to insure all the things the health service would cover you for free), then do it yourself and never go near the national health service

I would bet a LOT of money your relatives dont have 100% full coverage for private treatment (i.e it will pay unlimited amount for any illness under all circumstances)
I would bet the same amount that IF they have insurance its to claim for illnesses the NHS dont cover or dont cover quickly enough
that is- They will only be able to claim on their insurance if the thing they "hate" dont treat them quickly enough
but they dont "hate" it enough to pay the insurance to get 100% coverage

government could expand medicare and medicaid to cover more people but they have an obligation to the insurance companies that need to make billions in profits each year… as long as you suffer and are dying other people shall pay through the roof to avoid what you are going through… this is the republican party and way… capitalizim my friend… if the government programs are expanded the profits go away…
Ashley:
no, they shall do the treatment… then you just pay the bill… oh, you can afford it, then they'll take your house and you 401k and 30 percent of your paycheck till its paid for…

America is not evil. It's about time people are held accountable to some degree, for their own health.

Yes, in America you typically don't get products or services if you don't pay for them. What planet are you on?

For medical however, a person will never be denied emergency care. So no one is dying in the streets unless they refuse to go to the ER. Even people with health insurance don't have coverage for everything, its just not cost effective in some cases. Someone will always have to pay for it. The US is $20 TRILLION in debt already. Why fund some million dollar treatment for a 90 year old person, or third liver for an alcoholic? Do you want to pay for that???

The problem is people in the US are living unhealthier lifestyles than in years past. The current ACA tries to force healthy people to buy insurance they don't need, in order to "share costs" of the unhealthy people. That is a pyramid scheme. Why should I have to pay for people who are overweight due to lack of proper nutrition & exercise, people who smoke, do drugs, have unprotected sex, engage in risky or criminal behavior, etc.? If two unhealthy people have a children, they will more than likely also be unhealthy. Whose fault is that?

England prides itself on their national "free" healthcare, but most of their citizens with means buy additional insurance to go to better private hospitals. They're also backlogged for medical appointments, and pretty selective about which surgeries they will and will not do. I have relatives there and they hate their free healthcare! How bout we all take some personal responsibility and take care of our own families!

tro:
doctors are committed to save life, they won't willingly deny care to anyone
as for the health plan that Trump offered it was pulled out of the voting, a new plan will eventually be presented and it will not be like the failed one
Donald B:
They make payments. No one is left to die if they seek care
Brynn:
I keep hearing Obama and liberals talk about all of these ten of thousands of people dying on the streets because they don't have health insurance. Who exactly are all of these people. I am pretty sure if this were happening we would have all known about it long before Obama came along and started spreading this fairy tale of his
J M:
Many of them just die. And that is what will happen when Republicans get their way.
deplorables have won:
in the US it is illegal to deny care to someone just because they don't have insurance.

that was true before obamacre. that is true now. and that will be true after obamacare.
